What is the Digital Platforms Tax about?
The Digital Platforms Tax regime requires all travel platforms to withhold taxes from Hosts and Travellers.
Income Tax is withheld from earnings generated by offering spaces on the Airbnb platform.
A 16% Value Added Tax (TAX) is paid by the traveller, on top of the nightly rate that hosts set. This does not affect your income.

No income tax will be withheld from host income if you enter an RFC associated with a company.

As a non-resident in Mexico, you can get your RFC, know as the Federal Taxpayers Registry, free of charge.
